When integrations are mission-critical: Suvoda on unifying an API ecosystem

In clinical trials, a misbehaving integration delays data on time-sensitive studies that has to keep moving. Suvoda runs the technology behind more than 2,000 trials across 95 countries, and the integration layer connecting sponsors, CROs and partner systems sits squarely on the critical path.
The team standardised on KrakenD as a single gateway for all external traffic. Native support for gRPC, REST, WebSockets and SOAP removed the need for glue code per partner, and OAuth2, JWT, API keys and mTLS came out of the box. The outcome, in their own words: enterprise-grade capabilities without rigidity or unnecessary complexity, plus a model that lets them onboard partners faster than before.
